FastTrac360° is designed with an auto-save feature. Auto-save occurs every two minutes and this save occurs in a temporary file on the associates computer. To review this setting, go to Encompass Settings > Personal Settings > Autosave Configuration. The last save recorded on the associates computer (cache – not an FastTrac360° server) is activated when the associate answers specific questions to the prompts they receive when logging back into FastTrac360°.
Below is a sample of the experience the associate will have during a temporary connectivity loss to the internet while working in FastTrac360°.
When the associates suffers a temporary connectivity loss, this will be noticed only when they attempt to save or exit the loan. A “reconnect to Encompass Server” message will appear.
Immediately following the above referenced message, another message will popup indicating the associate will have to re-log into FastTrac360° to continue working. This means that any information i.e., input data fields or possibly uploaded documents since the last save, will not be saved and may appear as though data or documents are missing, lost, or have disappeared.
When the associate attempts to log back into FastTrac360°, the associate will receive a prompt advising them of the available auto-save data that can be recovered. The following is a description of when to click [Yes] and when to click [No].
• Yes: Select [Yes] if the connectivity loss was recent (within last 5 minutes) and you have personal knowledge that no one else has entered the loan since you’re last entry. *This is critical.
• No: Select [No] if the connectivity loss was not recent (more than 5 minutes) and someone else has already gone into the loan after you to work on the loan file.
Best Practice: Always review the date/time stamp on the message compared to the day you’re receiving the auto-save message. Use your best judgement as to whether or not [Yes] will be selected. When in doubt, click [No].
*Question: Why is it so important that I ensure no one’s been in the loan since my last save?
*Answer: If someone else entered the loan file after you, then you re-enter the loan and select [Yes] to the auto-save message, you will override any information the last associates performed on the loan file. Selecting [Yes] restores the loan to the last saved cache located on your own computer and not a shared server.
